It can be overwhelming and scary to dream. There are days I want to run in the direction I see God leading with excitement and confidence. Then there are days I want to walk away. There are days I feel foolish to even think this is possible. This may be my dream or it may be someone else’s dream to fulfill. I don’t yet know the outcome, but I do believe obedience looks like taking the next right step. Let’s see where this goes together.
As we take the next right steps we are praying these 4 things.
- HOW should we set up the entity? Non-profit or for-profit?
- WHO will we partner with in community to build this space?
- WHERE will the funding come from?
- WHAT is the location?

4.21.22 | A dream birthed
I went into Camp Well #11 needing to BE a camper. I was coming in weary and wounded and needed some restoration. And the Lord provided. Then he took what was once a pipe dream of building a retreat space in Northwest Arkansas and invited me to come home and take the next right step of seeing what might happen. The Lord kindly began preparing my heart to consider a new venue someday.
4.29.22 | The non-profit question?
We have long desired to be able to provide financial means for more women to attend The Well Summit experiences. In order to do this we need to either change our entity to 100% non-profit status or create an arm that was non-profit. We have wondered if this would also be the means through which we would build this retreat space. The Lord kindly provided a CW alumni (Kirsten) who has extensive knowledge in non-profit work to jump in head first with helping us. She is so passionate about seeing TWS be able to expand its offering. She has been so gracious with her time and is one of our biggest dream defenders!

6.5.22 | The Grant writing call
I shared with our #11 session about my dream. One of the campers reached out and said “my husband may be able to help you” It was a really encouraging and eye opening call to learn about all the options out there for grants. Her husband specifically works with organizations that are building community wellness spaces in the country. He asked me to send him high level details about what our hopes are.
